Data Retention Policy

Overview
MemoPal stores personal data to provide you with a persistent, context- aware AI companion experience. This policy explains what data we retain, for how long, and how you can manage it.
Retention Periods

Export Your Data
You can download a complete copy of all your data at any time. The export includes your profile, all conversations, memories, notes, journal entries, trackers, and voice memo transcripts in JSON format.
To export your data, go to Account Settings and click "Export My Data."
Delete Your Data
You can delete your entire account and all associated data. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone after the 30-day grace period.
To delete your account, go to Account Settings and click "Delete Account."
What Happens When You Delete
- All AI friends, their memories, and conversation history are permanently erased
- All notes, journal entries, lists, and voice memos are deleted
- All habit tracker data is removed
- Your Stripe subscription is cancelled
- Voice memo audio files are deleted from storage
- Your email and account information are purged
